AP Students gets relief from NEET for 2 years
Hyderabad, November 20: After so much of lobbying, the Andhra Pradesh students are expected to get an exception of 2 years from National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MBBS admissions. The AP Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy actively perused the matter with Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad and made him agree to consider the request to postpone NEET by 2 years:
The state government pleaded that, it needs at least two years time to revise its syllabus to prepare the students to compete with at National Level for MBBS entrance Test. NEET was designed to bring in uniformity in Medical Education across the country and improve the quality in UG and PG courses. Currently, medical admission in AP is happening through EAMCET test.
